  • Toby Lawrence - Director

    Toby is a current Musical Theatre Major at WCU, he worked as the Calliope education intern this past Spring, he worked at the Calliope summer camps this summer, and he is so excited to be a part of Calliope Shorts! Toby believes in the power of arts in the community, and is honored to work with Calliope in the wonderful work that it is doing.

  • Kelly Holter - Associate Director

    Kelly Holter is a sophomore musical theatre major at WCU, and is so excited to be a part of this production! Her previous roles include Fern Arable in Charlotte’s Web, Cosette (US) in Les Misérables, and Kim McAfee in Bye Bye, Birdie. She has also worked in childcare for several years, and is excited for her first experience directing children!

Elizabeth Ashley

Elizabeth is a newly-minted 2nd grader at Fairview School. She is excited to perform in her first professional production, having caught the performance bug at Calliope Stage Theatre Camp the past two summers. She loves animals, singing, ninja, gymnastics, and horseback riding, and is a member of the Jackson County Swim Team. Of all the Ashleys who had a hand in this production, she is by far the cutest. Elizabeth gives a shoutout to Haywood Barbecue, her forever vote for dinners out of the house.

ANNADELLE FERGUSON

Annadelle is a rising 7th grader who loves being outside and reading. She has acted in Hoodie with Catamount School, Kids at HART, and is excited for another theater experience.

CAIL LORD-SILER

Cail Lord-Siler is excited to be performing with Calliope Stage after getting a little taste of theatre during their youth summer camp in June. He is a fifth-grader at Cullowhee Valley School, where math is his favorite subject. While not in school, Cail enjoys playing piano, soccer, camping, and traveling.

Jo Walawender

Jo is 10 years old and was born in Sharon, PA. Josephine has lived in Ohio, SC, Alabama, and NC. Calliope has helped Jo discover their love of acting. They also love watching Bob’s Burgers, playing tennis, being silly with friends, baking, swimming, exploring new places, and creating art. Most recently they have been creating Pride buttons galore to sell at Sylva Pride in September. Josephine lives with their mom, dad, older brother, and two cats (and some random fish).
