  • “Calliope has had such a positive impact for my entire family. My kids have watched their dad and friends participate in shorts and it has encouraged them to want to get involved. They both have participated in the summer kids program which has been such a confidence builder for both of them. My oldest now wants to write and produce plays and my youngest is finding his voice in new ways and all thanks to Calliope!”

  • “It was wonderful to work with everyone and make connections with other artists. I learned so much in the process, and the collaborative nature of the project from leadership down was such a joy! I encourage anyone who is interested in working with Calliope in any capacity to try it out.”

    — Faith G.

  • “Calliope Stage allowed for me to pursue a whole new creative outlet that I never thought I would end up in. As a lead singer and guitarist in a rock band, I have plenty of opportunities to showcase myself vocally and as a lead guitarist. However, Calliope Stage presented me with an opportunity to showcase my talents and passion in songwriting and music composition, challenging me to think outside of my normal.”

    — Mike Y.

  • “We were first exposed to Calliope Stage a year ago, enjoying the holiday performance. Since then, we've learned so much more about the impact Calliope has on the local economy: for every dollar spent on the arts, another $7 is generated in the community. This is a huge benefit for economic development as well as travel/tourism for the area.”

    — Bob R.

  • “One of my children auditioned and was able to participate in Calliope Shorts in 2022. As an 8 year old this opportunity allowed them to experience theater in a safe and exciting environment. The Shorts were a great way for them to develop and grow as an actor and an individual. Participating allowed Josephine to learn a lot about theater along with time management, working as a member of a team, accepting feedback, and hard work. Most importantly, I think Calliope has helped Josephine to find and develop their voice!”

    — Casey W.

  • “I have LOVED every production that I have attended. Everything is done by caring people who create wonderful stories and tell them with great attention.”

    — Terry W.

We couldn’t be more excited to bring more quality professional theatre to our Community.

Exciting plans are great - but to be honest, in order to pull them off, we need the sustained financial support from those who believe in the arts in our community. We strive to keep our pricing accessible for everyone in our town, and so our ticket sales and educational outreach revenue cover only a small portion of our programming and operational costs. In the future, we would love to expand with a brick and mortar home and hire a full-time staff member to provide even more quality programming for our Community.
