Rachel York Bridgers | Writer

Rachel York Bridgers teaches English at WCU. She lives in Sylva with her family.

TOBY LAWRENCE | CHOREOGRAPHER

Toby Lawrence has spent his whole life in the performing arts and is currently exploring that interest, along with his passion for education, as a part of the Musical Theatre program at WCU. He was a Calliope Education Intern this past semester, and worked at the Calliope Summer Camps not too long ago. He is thrilled to continue his work with the wonderful people at Calliope Stage, and to wear many hats in this spectacular project!

Allison Rich | Dancer

Allison is a junior musical theatre major here at WCU. She was featured in Legally Blonde earlier this spring and will be seen again in the fall production of "A Doll's House, Part 2" as the character Anne-Marie. Through the process of these shorts, she has had the opportunity to work with new people and experiment in new areas. Beyond directing and acting, Candice has sung in over 50 cabarets, and taught workshops and classes on acting, improvisation, directing, and musical theater performance. She is now settled in Cruso, North Carolina, with her husband and two sweet pups.

ALANA JOHNSON | DANCER

Alana is a sophomore at Western Carolina University, currently working on her BFA in Musical Theatre and BA in English. Her most recent roles include Aunt Em in The Wizard of Oz and Edna in Hairspray at West High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. She also recently graduated from Backstage Dance Company. She is so excited to be a part of this production and can’t wait to dance with her peers!

JOYNER JONES | Dancer

Joyner Jones is a sophomore at WCU, and she is so grateful to be a part Calliope Shorts: In the Kitchen. Her previous roles include Ensemble (Legally Blonde), Wednesday (The Addams Family) and Lina Lamont (Singin In The Rain). She is very excited for this opportunity to work with Calliope Stage, learn more about tech, and be a part of this production!

Rozalyn walton | lilly

Rozalyn is a current BFA Acting student at WCU, and she is thrilled to be joining Calliope Shorts: In the Kitchen! She is a Rockwell, NC native who has been performing on stage for as long as she can remember. She is still new to the mountains, but excited and grateful to join the WNC theatrical scene and gain professional experience alongside her peers.
